Three-Way Conferences Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th November
Next week you will receive the November Progress report for your child/children.
The Primary Three-Way Conferences are scheduled to follow this and are scheduled for –
Wednesday November 28th, from 3:30pm till 7:00pm.
Thursday November 29th, from 8:00am till 12:45pm.
The Secondary Three-Way Conferences are scheduled for the evening of Wednesday November 28th, from 3:30pm till 8:00pm.
There will be no ASA’s on Wednesday due to these conferences.
The three-way conference is a time for you and your child to sit with the teacher and discuss the progress report. Both parents and students should be present. We want our students to understand that learning is something they do; it is not something done to them. Strategies like three-way conferencing increasingly leads students towards becoming self-directed, independent learners.
Please remember that this conference involves all participants. Should you wish to talk to the teacher without your child present, you are asked to make a separate appointment. During the three-way conference, parents are encouraged to talk to their child, ask questions and offer praise. It is also a time to discuss personal goals for the students.
