This has been a very active week for our Grade 3 students. We are up and going with our Unit of Inquiry, and students continue to show growing understanding of economies. We have started our class mini economy, and are using money created by the students to use for the next three weeks. They created job applications and will find out how their applications went this week. In math our focused look at addition and subtraction strategies is going strongly. We have been working on missing addends for both operations. Our writing is going along well as the students work on their personal narratives, writing from the point of view of another person or an object. Our guided reading groups are going along well as we are getting into our novels and looking for deeper meaning and character studies.
