Hello families,
We have had another busy and fun week in 3L. We have been working on multiplication skills and making sure we are clear on the idea that multiplication is looking at groups. The Grade 3s have really shown a clear understanding of this concept which is important as we move into more complex tasks. Our Unit of Inquiry shifted focus to looking at the respiratory system. The students took a deep breath (pardon the pun) and worked diligently to learn how this system works. We began writers workshop, and are using the writing process to create a student led idea. They came up with the idea of living in a place where trees lay eggs. (This led to some very creative writing!)
We continue to look at the idea of digital citizenship as well. We focus on:
What is the internet?
Sharing information online, what types of information should we share and not share?
Digital footprint, what happens to information you share online?
