Hello parents,
it has been a very busy week as we are closing up our current unit of Inquiry, ” How we express ourselves”. The students finished up this Unit by creating their own work of art that they then shared with their classmates. They had the opportunity to hear what other students interpretations of their work was, as well as sharing How and why they created their own piece. Next week we begin our look at the Human Body as our second unit of Inquiry. This will include a focus on informational writing, as well as research skills. In Maths we will be changing our focus from addition and subtraction, to beginning to look at fractions. We will be beginning reading groups on a daily basis beginning Sunday, after having learned how the groups will run.
Please check Sunday’s email for more information. Also, your child will receive an email today with a final survey about our Unit of Inquiry. Please talk with your child about the questions on this survey as they ponder their answers. This is due next Wednesday.
