We had an eventful week of school and class activities. From their mother tongue students heard stories and literature read by parents.

Students had fifteen minutes of daily silent reading time and they took advantage to place their focused eyes on words and books.
Students began the first unit of inquiry this week which is “How we organize ourselves”. Students worked in collaborative groups to build a community on a small island.
Character day was a great way to culminate book week!
Lastly, students read their first story bird stories to first graders about “believing in yourself.”
