Dear parents,

It was a wonderful week in 3L. Our little group has made huge strides in terms of settling into routines, and continuing to create a positive classroom atmosphere. We have struck up a very nice balance in the week of times when we work as our class, and as well as working within a larger group of the three grade 3 classes.

This week the students worked diligently to look at interpretation of art in our Unit of Inquiry, as well as using skills and techniques learned in art to create a display that linked to our themes of respect and our celebration of International Dot Day.

A highlight this week was experiencing the students first presentations based on their own choice of artists. The variety of presentation styles and topics was much enjoyed by the students and teachers. I was so impressed in the effort, pride and confidence the students displayed.

I look forward to Book Week next week with Grade 3L!

Please be sure to read the Sunday email for more details about the week, and of course highlights here on the broadcaster.

Have an excellent weekend,

Mr. Larsen
