Just two weeks to go until the end of school, so we are very busy making arrangements for the end of this year, saying goodbye to some leavers – but also planning the end of this year. The secondary school will move to LC2 and make use of both floors of a new building providing even more space for learning to happen. In addition Music, Science and Visual Arts will move to entirely new facilities in LC3! It will be amazing once everything is set up. The same goes for all of the sporting facilities including a new gym/theatre and sports field the school will have.

The Grade 12 Graduation last Thursday was a very special occasion, marked out by some very special student performances, and a wonderful speech from Aisha, amongst ‘other goodies’. 7 students received their High School Diploma, meeting all of our requirements to graduate. Now we wish them well for their exam results in early July. Thank you to the many staff who supported this wonderful event.

Grade 10 have been having superb time in India and impressed us with their commitment to helping and ‘serving’ others. We will share photos and information when students return. We will have some good news to share with our community here.

Congratulations to Grade 8 with ‘most’ completing their diving qualification last week, though a few students will need to return to complete the course because they struggled with equalisation (reducing pressure in sinus and middle ear spaces) . I’d like to thank Omansail in Musannah for being so helpful and flexible with getting student through, as well as Mr Davis and Miss Turton for all the supporting and mentoring.

Don’t forget to come to the last day Secondary assembly if you are free. There is an all school one following. Times below:

  • 12:30 – 1:00 Whole School Assembly – Thursday 15th – all parents welcome.

  • We hope you can make the community Iftar on Monday at 6:30pm. It was a lovely experience last year!
