The Secondary School had a really fun ‘Lock In’ event attended by nearly 40 students last week. The event was well organised by the Student Council and kept our students busy with really exciting activities ranging from football, swimming, camp fires and movies. Thank you to five ABIS teachers who stayed up all night with the students and kept them safe. We look forward to running the event again next year.

We had an enjoyable secondary assembly this morning, in which, amongst other goodies, we were treated to the Student Council campaign speeches, in which three students are running to be the Chair.

The Student Council has a lot of influence in our school – organising many wonderful events – so we look forward to who their new leader will be. Voting take places shortly. All of our three campaigners gave thoughtful speeches filled with lots of good ideas.

Congratulations to Trisha Centrino who received an award from the University of Cambridge for the highest score in History IGCSE in Oman last year. This is an excellent achievement as there are many schools offering IGCSE in the region. She collected her reward in today’s assembly.

We wish success to all of our participating Grade 10,11 and 12 students at the Model United Nations (MUN) event in Qatar next week. We are very excited for them!

A polite reminder to arrange payment by 26th of January for Oman week. We are aiming for full student participation in this ‘special opportunity!’
