Why do people invent things? What do we think are some of the most important inventions in the world? These were some of questions we asked and researched as we began what has so far proven to be a very interesting unit of inquiry. In math we have been analyzing data in graphs (bar and line graphs). The writing genre, procedure writing, has proven to be quite popular as well. Of the topics children could choose from ‘how turn your teacher into a fly’ proved, unsurprisingly, to be the most popular.
