As the children solidified their understanding of their times tables, they also began to explore the relationship between multiplication and division. This has helped them better understand the concept of division as it relates to multiplication. It has also helped them better understand the concept of grouping and skip counting. Measurement (time) is integrated into our unit of inquiry and the class will be working on time in parallel with multiplication and division. For the unit of inquiry the children have been working on three fractured fairy tales through which they continue to look at the performing arts as a way if communicating.
