its not often that children are challenged with testing their own teachers spelling. When they do, they go at it with enthusiasm. The idea behind this activity, apart from the actual testing of the teachers spelling skills, is to introduce them to the world of dictionaries. In math, we will be moving onto subtraction next week to be followed fractions. Our unit of inquiry is coming along well. This week we had a guest speaker (a parent who is a dentist) who shared with us ways in which the different systems of the body are dependent on each other. Book week of course was a major part of this week with a number of activities aimed at promoting the love of books and reading.
