This has been a short week, but we still managed to accomplish a lot!
The sevens and eights continued to work on motif, expanding and developing their seed idea into a larger phrase or part of a dance. Their improvisation was slow motion this week, which caused a great deal of hilarity. The grade eights had a treat – with a couple of minutes to spare at the end of the lesson, they learned a small piece of the contemporary phrase I had learned the previous night while at Dance class in Muscat.
The nines and tens and the IGCSE group also worked on motif and how to develop what they had into a longer piece of work. They then started something new and different and are presently working out the expressive intent for their group.
