What a lovely Arts evening we had on Wednesday night. There were many wonderful performances from students right across the school, as well as some excellent art work on show. Thank you to Miss Camp, Miss Saunders and Mr Clarke for all their hard work to make that event happen. Of course, thank you very much to our students and to everyone who came to support. With so much going on in the next few days, it is better to list what will be happening:
1) Last day Secondary assembly and personal project viewing. Our Grade 7/8 personal project exhibition starts at 10:30 and the Secondary assembly starts at 11 on Thursday. Please come!
This is a special assembly and a celebration of the ABIS year. We will be issuing end of year progress and achievement awards, as well as sharing a special india trip student reflection (it was an amazing experience) and a number of performances from some of our talented Secondary musicians.
2) Immediately following our assembly will be the whole school end of year leavers assembly when we will be saying goodbye to families and make the house points announcement. We appreciate it if you can make both events and we have scheduled them in such a way that one follows the other.
3) Please purchase a yearbook for your child if you haven’t already. They will be arriving next week – in shallah
4). Please note that our summer learning programme will be issued soon and that you will receive a digital document next week. We would be very grateful for your support. We have made some changes/improvements based on feedback from students and parents last year.
5) We are on the verge of booking the French study week and will contact all interested parents next week with some further details. We hope that you will appreciate these improvements on the basis of your feedback.
6) Out of respect for Ramadan, we will not be having any public parties, serving food ,or dancing on Wednesday or Thursday and will hold our end of year pool party much earlier on Monday afternoon.
Have a lovely weekend!
