Mourning for the death of King Abdullah of Saudi means that there will be a public holiday on Sunday.

His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has sent his condolences to Saudi Arabia on the death of King Abdullah this morning, ordering an official mourning period, with flags in the country to be lowered to half mast, and a three-day holiday.

The statement on Oman News Agency (ONA) said that work in both the public and private sector will be suspended today, Saturday and Sunday, with workers returning to their duties on Monday, January 26.
