This week we have been doing some exciting learning. Our unit if inquiry is about material changes and their effect on society and the environment. We took another look at our decomposition experiment outside and noticed the fruit changing colour. There was also the presence of some insect life.
We have been learning about the consequences of oil spills and yesterday the students completed their reports which have been posted on their website. We went to the secondary science lab yesterday and used the scientific process to investigate what happens when we mix baking soda and vinegar together.
We have also started to learn about measurement in maths. The students spent the week learning about different equipment we use to measure and the appropriate units we need to use to measure a variety of items.
