The secondary school has re-allocated 80 minutes per week of IWS (Independent Work Sessions) and split it between Maths and languages. This allows more opportunities for me to supervise students while they complete independent work. This is also allowing more opportunities for students ask questions… And are they!
It is such an honor to work with students who are engaged and willing to commit to developing their own understanding through disciplined inquiry. They are gaining the confidence to support one another and the willingness to exceed minimum expectations.
Additionally, students are learning the value of getting on task immediately and using their time to maximum effect. Parents can support your students at home by ensuring that they start their work with minimal delay and seek assistance if questions persist (j.adams5751@abisoman.com).
