We have been working hard on our UOI about homes. The central idea is: Humans use their understanding of materials and weather to build suitable homes.
So we looked at different materials and matched them to suitable weather.
We did some research, looking through books and videos about homes in different countries and cultures.
The students then designed a house for a specific climate, using their understanding of materials and weather.
During free play the students have been exploring with 2D shapes to build 3D shapes and make homes.
