Grade 3 students are working steadily to increase their recorder playing skills. This week, the experimented with being partners, one as the breathing expert and the other as the fingering expert. Encourage your student to practice over the winter break. Two helpful hints: if your recorder player is squeaking, s/he is either using too much air (blowing too hard) or their fingers are not covering all of the holes completely.
