Grade 5 has embarked on a measurement blitz!
Our Math current inquiry is estimating and measuring length…of anything!
Students have had a great time estimating and measuring their pace. They also have been responsible for leading their own learning of how to convert measurements between millimetres, centimetres and metres with one student proclaiming this is learning Math “in a fun and creative way!”
Any and all conversations parents can have with their kids about measurement in general and the basic units for measuring length are always helpful in solidifying their learning in the classroom.
