Hello families …just a quick update of the grade four doings this week!
The Seussical Musical has started coming together with parts flowing smoothly and children combining theatrical movement, face expression, listening, speaking, singing and dancing together to create an excellent whole. Many thanks to those parents who supported the children learning lines and songs and practicing with their children at home. Performance is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn how to present themselves with confidence and skill, and having another way in which to learn and work with language. The Musical is only a few days away – pay close attention to updates about starting times and venue!
The students are also finishing up on their present UOI on Explorers. Some of the students elected this Unit for one of their Passion Projects and so these will be presented on Saturday starting 8.35am. All parents are welcome to see what they come up with. All Passion Projects are assessed using criteria sent home when children were choosing their preferred Units of Inquiry. Our next Unit of Inquiry is on Energy. It is a science based unit, so expect many experiments and some requests for various objects to be brought to school.
Some students are involved in a swimming activity where they will be going to Muscat on Monday coming – we wish them well and are excited about their opportunity and progress!
