About the Seussical

When it was my first lesson of music, I didn’t know what to do, but Mrs. Akerstrom told me that we were doing a musical and she also told me that I’m going to be a circus animal.  Yesterday we had rehearsal in the gym.  I really like the musical.  I think the musical is going to be on the 11th of December 2012.  I am going to be dressed as a kangaroo.  I love the musical

Our Music Lesson

First we learned more steps for the “Green Eggs and Ham” song and “It’s Possible” in the Seussical.  The songs we sang were “Oh the Things you can Think,” “Green Eggs and Ham,” and “Here on Who.”  We practiced our lines and the dancing that we already knew.  The last song I practiced was “It’s Possible.”  I’m a bird girl with Amanda, Veerle, Aishwarya and Nur.

Music Morning

This morning we were supposed to do language but we went to music to practice our musical.  Our musical is called Seussical by Dr Seuss.  We have started practicing the musical for about one week and today we went to music to practice it.  Every one is a character in the Seussical.  I am one of the Who Family and Trina is Jojo and Prisha is Mr. Mayor.  After 3 weeks we are going to present it in front of all the parents in the gym.  Today the Who Family is going to Mrs. Akerstrom to practice their songs and steps.  Trina is lucky because she gets to keep the microphone in her hand all the time and I like to keep the microphone in my hand.  But still I am in the Seussical.  So that is fun!

The Seussical

This morning our class went to music.  Well, it’s really the Seussical.  Grade four and grade five and grade three are doing it.  It’s a two hour play.  He writes books using rhyming words.  I’m a hunter and I sing where the book says ALL or CITIZENS OF THE JUNGLE or HUNTERS.  We sing there and dance.  There are more hunters in the class.  We have a book where our words are.  There are 2 types of books – originals and copies.  I have a copy and after the Seussical I can keep it!

Music Morning

On Sunday morning, we were practicing for the Seussical.  It is three weeks away.  My class was supposed to have language for the first two periods of the day but instead of that we had music.  The first thing we did was warm up.  I am a hunter in the musical.  When we finished warming up, we sang the first song which was “Oh the Things you can Think.” It was the first song in the musical.  The next song we sang was “Green Eggs and Ham.” After that song, we sang “Egg, Nest and Tree.”

This morning I did a music project called the Seussical.  First it was fun, but you know, I was tired.  First thing I did was the beginning song.  I did it two times.  It was really fun.  We practiced the dance too.  Then Mrs Akerstrom said “Be here at the break” to me and Spencer.  We had a lot of words to sing but we did our best.  I’m a Wickersham Brother.  We sang and sang until finally we had a pause for one minute.  Everybody needed to sing.

Music Summary

This morning I felt nothing.  It was exciting.  First I was cold and then Mrs. Akerstrom warmed me up with singing.  My feet were tired because I am always standing.  I was thirsty because I didn’t bring my water bottle.  I was laughing when the sad smilie part was on.  It was about Seussical Jr.  The musical is based on Dr Seuss.  When we sang the last song I was excited.  I had energy when we sang the song “Here on Who.” We had to practice for singing.  First we sang the beginning song.  My character is the Who.  There are 17 characters.  We had to sing and dance.

Music

This morning in music we were learning the Seussical because we are going to do it in front of our mums and dads in a few weeks and we must dance and sing.  It is very fun to do.  I am a hunter and my other friends are hunters too.  They are Oleg, Tahlyn, Abhishek and I.  In music we have our own book to practice the song.

Morning Music

This morning we went to practice a musical about the Seussical.  It was about an author named Dr Seuss.  Here are some songs we did: “Oh the Things you can Think,” “Here on Who,” “Anything is Possible” and “Green Eggs and Ham.”

First we did some warming up.  And the fun thing was that we had dance moves.  Sometimes we had to do the music two times, when we got it wrong.  My favourite thing was “Here on Who” and “Green Eggs and Ham.” Those songs had a good beat.  Oh I forgot!  I am the Mayor.  Trina is Jojo, my son, Kalea is Mrs Mayor.  Also some of my friends are in the background.  I like the musical.  It’s creative and magical.  It’s got a lot of imagination words.  Some people have a lot to say.  Everyone did a good job. I like music sometimes.
