What’s up in Grade Four?

We’re back with all the latest things we learned! It could be our new dance, the UOI, Art or ASA’s. Different things are written by different people. Some of the things are written by two people. Enjoy!

What’s up with the new Unit of Inquiry?

We started “Governments” about three weeks ago.

All of us had to write a report about our home countries’ government. We could do it on a poster, as a simple speech or as a presentation. People from the same country were grouped together. At the moment, our Language and our UOI are together, because we have to read and research and write reports.

We have found some different types of government, like:

Democracy
Republic
Monarchy
Anarchy
Federation
Dictatorship

We need governments to live! We need them because they make better towns and because they make laws and decisions that help you.

There are usually three main parts of a government.

Executive: in charge
Judicial: in charge of putting people in jail
Legislative: making the laws.
