They are putting all their theory into practice&#8230; the best kind of learning.<\/p>\n<p>Camping is also educational between the formal lessons and activities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some students have volunteered to wash up after meals (a skill that can be practiced at home, for sure)<\/li>\n<li>After a reminder about the self-serve food tent, some students have re-discovered the joy of getting their own snacks rather than having a full service snack call.<\/li>\n<li>Most students have offered to help with at least one meal so far (another skill to practice further at home): chili on jacket potatoes, carrot and coriander soup, bean salad, chicken burgers with fixings; pancakes and eggs; homemade falafel\/chicken\/cheese sandwiches with fixings; shish-kebabs with beef, chicken and veggies, with BBQ corn on the cob; pasta and homemade thick and chunky tomato sauce; and tonight&#8230; personal calzones on the grill.
