ISA is a standardised test in English which is used around the world in international schools to determine and compare standards in literacy and mathematics. Children from grades three and upwards are given the tests, which are spread out over two days, with a third day for &#8220;make ups&#8221;.  Tests are sent overseas for marking and a few months later, results are sent to the school.  <\/p>\n<p>Today was our first day and students worked diligently to complete three of the five assessments this morning.  After the test, some children were asked their opinions on what they had done.<\/p>\n<p>Here are their responses:<\/p>\n<p>Prishanthi &#8211; it&#8217;s good for learning<br \/>\nYann &#8211; it&#8217;s interesting<br \/>\nNewton &#8211; the math was quite easy<br \/>\nTrina &#8211; you can learn a lot from ISA<br \/>\nJade &#8211; it was scary because you can get it wrong<br \/>\nClaire &#8211; it&#8217;s a test and I don&#8217;t mind them<br \/>\nDeema &#8211; it&#8217;s quite easy<br \/>\nCourtney &#8211; it&#8217;s just right for me.  I think it will show what I know.  I noticed my mistakes when I went back and checked and I changed them<br \/>\nTahlyn &#8211; I think it&#8217;s a little bit easy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grade Four have started ISA this week.
