They are focusing on completing their process journals by collecting evidence of their post-test performances and comparing their results with their pre-test scores. Students are analysing their progress in the selected fitness components, identifying improvements and areas for further development. Through this process, they are learning to evaluate their performance, recognise the importance of regular practice and set meaningful goals for future fitness improvement.

Grade 8 – Fitness and Nutrition

Grade 8 students are exploring different components of fitness and developing their understanding of nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. Through collaborative activities and discussions, they are sharing knowledge, supporting their peers and learning about the importance of different nutrients and their functions in the body. Students are also developing an understanding of how balanced nutrition, physical activity and healthy habits contribute to overall well-being and physical performance.

Grade 9 – Fitness Training Methods

Grade 9 students are exploring different fitness training methods and understanding how each method contributes to the development of specific fitness components. Working collaboratively in groups, students have demonstrated excellent organisation, teamwork and practical application of their chosen training methods. They are taking responsibility for planning and demonstrating activities while supporting one another throughout the learning process. Students will now focus on completing the reflections provided in class, evaluating the effectiveness of each training method and identifying the fitness components developed through their activities.

Grade 10 – Volleyball Unit

Grade 10 students have begun a new volleyball unit, where they are working collaboratively to develop their skills, communication and understanding of team strategies. Through practical activities and team-based challenges, students are learning the importance of cooperation, decision-making and supporting one another to improve overall performance. They will also develop SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound) to establish clear targets for their individual and team development. These goals will help students monitor their progress, reflect on their performance and identify strategies to improve their volleyball skills throughout the unit.

Overall, students across Grades 7–10 are making progress in developing collaboration, responsibility, reflection and confidence. They are increasingly taking ownership of their learning while recognising the importance of teamwork, consistent effort and constructive feedback in improving their fitness, health and sporting performance.

Students across different grade levels are developing confidence in working collaboratively, communicating effectively and supporting one another through a variety of Physical and Health Education (PHE) activities.
