Spanish – This Week This week, our Spanish classes have continued to make steady progress, with students using the language to reflect on personal routines, share stories, and explore diverse cultural expressions across the Spanish-speaking world.<\/p>\n
G11 Spanish ab initio\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Within our ongoing unit VIVO Y VEO EL MUNDO<\/i> under the theme of Identities<\/i>, students expanded their toolkit by learning key verbs and simple conjugations to describe their daily routines. They also gained essential skills in telling time in Spanish and explored how seasons change across different regions of the Hispanic world. In addition, students received the results of their very first summative assessment, a great milestone as they continue building confidence in the language!<\/p>\n G12 Spanish ab initio <\/strong><\/p>\n This week in G12, students focused on consolidating their use of past tenses to improve their storytelling and narrative flow. They applied these skills by creating oral stories and engaging in insightful debates about the role of gossip in communities and across cultures. Alongside these activities, students deepened their understanding of Paper 1 expectations and strategies as they prepare for their upcoming first written summative assessment this Sunday.<\/p>\n G12 Spanish B\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Our Spanish B student focused on strengthening her oral communication skills within the theme of Human Ingenuity<\/i> and artistic expressions, focusing particularly on Chilean artist Roberto Matta and artistic movements in Chile.
