{"id":333002,"date":"2026-09-24T10:30:49","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T06:30:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abisoman.com\/broadcaster\/?p=333002"},"modified":"2026-09-24T10:30:49","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T06:30:49","slug":"kg2a-week-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abisoman.com\/broadcaster\/2026\/09\/24\/kg2a-week-5\/","title":{"rendered":"KG2A Week 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><b>KG2 \u2013 Looking Ahead to Week 6<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \ud83c\udf1f<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dear Parents,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As we finish another busy week, here is a little look at what we will be exploring <\/span><b>next week<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83e\udde0 <\/span><b>Who We Are \u2013 Our Bodies and Brains<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We will continue exploring our Central Idea:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cAs our bodies and brains grow, we learn and do new things.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The children will continue thinking about how we can take responsibility for our bodies and brains through <\/span><b>healthy choices, learning, movement, rest and caring for ourselves and others<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83d\udd24 <\/span><b>Phonics<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We will continue reviewing the sounds we have learned so far: <\/span><b>s, a, t, p, i, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0and practise recognising the letters and hearing their sounds in words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83d\udd22 <\/span><b>Maths<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We will continue working with:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Counting to 20<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One more and one less<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Heavy and light<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Full and empty<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83c\udfa8 <\/span><b>Learning through play and choice<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Children will continue making choices during our learning and play time, using puzzles, games, blocks and creative materials. We will also continue encouraging children to <\/span><b>tidy and care for our classroom after choice time<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\ud83d\udc9b <\/span><b>At home:<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can encourage your child to talk about one healthy choice they made during the day.
