It\u2019s been another incredible week of growth, discovery, and high energy across all our math classrooms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Grade 9 Mathematics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We explored radicals and surds. We could add, subtract, multiply and divide surds and simplify them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight (Highlight of the Week! ):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Huge congratulations to our Grade 9s for taking responsibility to practice math skills independently.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Looking Ahead:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Next week, we will explore the concept of surds in even greater depth and solve more complex questions based on expansion and division with surds.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Grade 10 Mathematics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We completed our topic on relations and functions, mastering key concepts like functions, their graphs, and finding the point of intersection between functional graphs. We also reviewed the laws of indices, surds and radicals and explored exponential functions leading to exponential equations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> High praise to our Grade 10s for their strong understanding and active participation. It\u2019s awesome to see these concepts click so naturally! I am impressed by Dania\u2019s work ethics. Dania has completed the exponential functions and quadratic functions too which is planned for the next week.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Looking Ahead:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Next week, students will reflect on their learning through a practice summative on Assessprep after we finish exploring quadratic functions and their graphs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Grade 11 Mathematics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We officially completed our straight lines and explored the functions, their domain and range.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Shoutout to our Grade 11 DP students for their ongoing dedication and courage to go ahead as per the unit plan.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Looking Ahead:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Next week, we\u2019ll dive deeper into graphs of functions and extend it to the modelling.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Grade 12 Mathematics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Seniors mastered applications of the differentiation in the derivations of equations of tangents and normals. These concepts also led to the understanding of increasing and decreasing functions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Massive recognition to our seniors for their determination and solid grasp of calculus techniques and its ongoing applications. Also, the timely submission of math explorations. The feedback is already given on managebac.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Looking Ahead:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Next week, we will begin applying our differentiation skills to analyze and understand the stationery or turning points of the curves and their significance as local maxima, local minima and point of inflections.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thank you to all our parents and students for another wonderful week of learning and connection.
