The momentum is building fast across all our grade levels, and it\u2019s wonderful to see our students bringing so much focus, energy, and determination into the classroom every day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Grade 9 Advisory<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We kicked off our goal-setting journey using the SMART template to establish academic, learner profile, and personal goals for the year. We also participated in our school fire mock drill, handling it with great maturity and efficiency.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> A huge shoutout to our Grade 9 advisory students for approaching their goal-setting with genuine reflection and intentionality\u2014setting a fantastic tone for the year ahead!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Looking Ahead:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Next week, we will continue refining our goals and building strong habits that set us up for a smooth and successful term.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Grade 9 Mathematics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We officially wrapped up our work on Index Laws. Students have been engaging deeply in independent work, with many demonstrating a solid ability to apply these laws accurately to solve problems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Kudos to the entire class for showing fantastic independence and growing confidence when tackling complex index expressions!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Looking Ahead:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Next week, students will write a practice test to consolidate their knowledge before we move on to fractional indices and surds.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Grade 10 Mathematics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> After a busy time with IRL activities, students jumped right back into Math class to finalize relations, domain, and range. We are now diving into the fundamentals of functions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> High praise to our Grade 10s for their motivation and smooth transition back to classroom focus, their positive attitude and consistent effort are commendable!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Looking Ahead:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Next week, we\u2019ll expand our understanding by exploring and analyzing the graphs of functions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Grade 11 Mathematics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> We completed our topic on straight lines, with students demonstrating excellent understanding and learning success across their problem-solving tasks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Shoutout to our DP Year 1 students for their strong work ethic and active engagement as they master these foundational linear concepts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Looking Ahead:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Next week, students will write a practice test to reinforce their learning before we launch into linear modelling.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Grade 12 Mathematics<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>This Week in Our Learning:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Seniors finalized their work on limits, started the rules of derivatives, and completed a practice formative assessment to reflect on their learning. Most importantly, students successfully completed the first draft of their Math IA (Exploration)!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Student Spotlight:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Massive recognition to our Grade 12s for reaching a major milestone with their IA drafts while seamlessly picking up calculus concepts.
