The students arrived happy and excited and have been settling into their new learning space, meeting old and new friends, and getting to know their teachers and peers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Moving from ECC into Grade 2 is a big step, especially for those who have spent several years in the ECC. The children have adjusted so quickly, and it has been lovely to see our returning students helping and welcoming those who are new to our school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">This week, we have been learning our class agreements and routines, getting to know each other, and exploring English and Maths through practical activities, games, discussions and circle time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">I am so pleased with how the students are already showing that they can be caring, cooperative and confident communicators. We are still missing some of our friends who have been absent, and we look forward to having everyone together so we can choose our class name!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">We look forward to meeting parents next week and sharing more about the exciting year ahead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Reminders<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Swimming:<strong> Every Thursday<\/strong> starting next week.
