Welcome to the first weekly broadcast of the new school year! It has been fantastic welcoming everyone back to campus from August 23rd to 26th, the energy in our classrooms is already setting the stage for a phenomenal year of growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

A warm and joyful welcome to all our Grade 9 advisory students and families! Stepping into High School is a huge milestone, and I wish every single one of you the absolute best as we launch this exciting journey together.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • This Week in Our Learning:<\/b> We hit the ground running with a comprehensive review of Rational and Irrational numbers alongside the essential Laws of Indices.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Student Spotlight:<\/b> Kudos to the entire class! Your high level of engagement and visible eagerness to dive into problem-solving made Week 1 an absolute joy.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Looking Ahead:<\/b> Next week, we\u2019ll reflect on our independent learning strategies and push into fractional indices, leading us into the world of surds.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Looking Ahead:<\/b> Next week, students will get early practice with e-assessments under timed exam conditions before continuing our deep dive into functions and graphs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • This Week in Our Learning:<\/b> We set the roadmap for our IBDP journey by exploring the syllabus, assessment criteria, and digital resources, followed by our first topic: Linear Functions.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Student Spotlight:<\/b> A big nod of appreciation to our Grade 11s for approaching the start of DP Math with real maturity, curiosity, and readiness to work.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Looking Ahead:<\/b> We will build on this strong foundation next week as we continue expanding our work on Linear Functions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Grade 12 Mathematics<\/b><\/h3>\n

        • This Week in Our Learning:<\/b> Our seniors jumped right into Calculus! We mastered the fundamental concepts of limits and began developing ideas around derivatives.<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Student Spotlight:<\/b> High praise for your determination! Mastering limits so quickly demonstrates the exact mindset needed for senior year.<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Looking Ahead:<\/b> Next week, our focus shifts squarely onto advanced derivatives and kicking off the first drafts of your Math Explorations (IA).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
