Welcome back to school!<\/span><\/p>\n

Students returned happy and excited this week and have been settling in, meeting old, friends, making new friends and reconnecting with staff whilst getting used to a new learning space and building.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a big step to go from the ECC where many students did three years of learning and they are adjusting quickly. They are also helping the students who are new to the school which is good to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have been discussing our agreements for working together well in our new space and getting used to a busy timetable with lots of new opportunities and challenges. They are already showing that they have a better understanding of learning, taking care of their class and of each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students have been showing me what they know or remember of their learning in English and Maths and displaying their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. We have done some practical Maths and language games together with discussion and circle time games or brain- gym to keep us active and thinking well!<\/span><\/p>\n

I am so pleased to see how the students know the routines and regulations as we will be able to move on more rapidly with learning, building on previous knowledge. They are trying to be caring, cooperative and communicate in English.<\/span><\/p>\n
