Dear parents,<\/p>\n
There has been a great deal happening across the school this week as we move steadily towards the end of the academic year.<\/p>\n
In Secondary, this is an important academic period for many students. Our Grade 10 students have completed their MYP eAssessments, Grade 11 students have commenced their end-of-year examinations, and our Grade 12 students continue with their final IB Diploma examinations. These are demanding periods, and I have been pleased with the mature and focused way students have approached their preparation. We wish them every success as they continue through this examination period.<\/p>\n
Outside the classroom, it was also excellent to see one of our students recently featured on Oman Radio discussing projects connected to environmental sustainability and 3D printing. His work has included initiatives aimed at reducing food waste in Oman, along with producing fidget tools to support students in our SHINE programme. It is always encouraging to see students pursuing their interests in ways that are practical, creative, and beneficial to others.<\/p>\n
In Primary, the week concluded with our KG1\u2013Grade 1 Assembly. Seeing our youngest students perform with such confidence and enthusiasm is always a highlight, and I would like to thank the teachers and classroom assistants for all the preparation and support involved.<\/p>\n
Our Grade 5 students also shared their Digital Citizenship learning this week, focusing on safe and responsible online behaviour. As technology and social media continue to play a large role in young people\u2019s lives, the partnership between school and home remains essential in helping students make thoughtful choices online.<\/p>\n
Next Tuesday, we look forward to welcoming families to our Parent Coffee Morning alongside the DP Art Exhibition. We hope many parents will join us for this opportunity to connect as a community and celebrate student creativity.<\/p>\n
We will also finish next week with a performance of The Jewel of Muscat, written by our music teacher, Mr. Mino. The performance celebrates Omani heritage and culture and will take place in the Mazoon on Thursday, 14th May at 8:30 am. Parents are invited to attend.<\/p>\n
