In this unit, students are designing <strong data-start=\"185\" data-end=\"205\">educational toys<\/strong> for children aged 3\u20136, combining creativity with an understanding of user needs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"288\" data-end=\"754\">Through their inquiry portfolios, many students engaged deeply with the theme, with about half choosing themselves as the subject to express ideas about uniqueness. In <strong data-start=\"456\" data-end=\"462\">Bi<\/strong>, they created design specifications focusing on function, target users, safety, and environmental considerations\u2014especially important when designing for young children. In <strong data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"642\">Bii<\/strong>, they developed mind maps and generated four feasible design ideas based on different game types and materials.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"1053\">During <strong data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"771\">Biii<\/strong>, students presented their ideas to peers, receiving and giving constructive feedback before selecting and justifying their final design. Now, in <strong data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"924\">Biv<\/strong>, they are producing detailed isometric and orthographic drawings, including front, side, and top views with accurate dimensions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1280\">Inquiry-based learning and personal choice have supported strong engagement, clearly visible in their portfolios. While time management was a challenge due to the Eid holidays, students have shown adaptability and commitment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1282\" data-end=\"1371\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">We look forward to the next stage, where their educational toys will begin to take shape.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Grade 7 Design students are making strong progress as they complete Criterion B of their project.
