Dear Secondary Families,<\/p>\n
It has been a positive start to the week as students have settled quickly back into school routines following the Eid and mid-term break. I hope you were able to enjoy some time together as a family over the holiday period, despite the recent heavy rain.<\/p>\n
As we move into the final 11 weeks of the academic year, this is a particularly important phase for our secondary students. Across the MYP and DP, this is a time where learning becomes increasingly focused, with students consolidating key concepts, refining their understanding, and preparing for end-of-year assessments.<\/p>\n
In the MYP, students are continuing to develop their subject knowledge alongside important skills such as organisation, time management, and independent learning. Our Grade 10 students have now completed their Personal Projects, which is a significant milestone, and we are looking forward to celebrating their work at the upcoming Personal Project Exhibition. Alongside this, Grade 10 students are now beginning to prepare for their mock eAssessment examinations, which will be an important step in their readiness for the final assessments.<\/p>\n
For our Diploma students, this is naturally a critical stage. Grade 12 students are now in the final stretch before their examinations, and we are seeing a strong focus in lessons on revision, exam technique, and targeted support. As shared earlier this week, our ASA support classes are now running, and I would strongly encourage all Diploma students to attend these sessions to make the most of the additional support available.<\/p>\n
Our Grade 11 students are now beginning to prepare for their mock examinations. These assessments are an important opportunity to identify strengths and areas for further development, helping students to focus their efforts and build effective study habits as they move into Grade 12.<\/p>\n
At the end of next week, Progress Reports will be issued. This provides an important opportunity for students to check in on their current performance, recognise their strengths, and identify areas for further development as they move towards the end of the academic year and their final school reports.<\/p>\n
From a whole-school perspective, this is a time where consistent routines, attendance, and good study habits make a significant difference. We would encourage all students to maintain a balanced approach, managing their time effectively while also ensuring they are getting enough rest and maintaining healthy routines.<\/p>\n
