This week, we explored:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>oo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (as in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">moon<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">book<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>ew<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (as in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">few<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>ue<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (as in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">blue<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>ou<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (as in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cloud<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong style=\"color: #666666\"><span style=\"color: #ff00ff\">Students practised:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Recognizing these patterns in words<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reading and spelling words with these sounds<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Listening carefully to identify the correct vowel team<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">You can support your child at home by encouraging them to spot these patterns while reading, practise spelling words, or even create their own silly sentences using these sounds.\u270f\ufe0f<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008080\"><b>Maths: Time<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In Maths, we have been continuing our work on <\/span><b>telling the time<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u23f0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;color: #000000\">Students have been:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reading time to the hour, half hour, and beyond<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Understanding the relationship between hours and minutes<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Practising both analogue and digital time<\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To conclude this unit, students will complete a <\/span><b>post-assessment <\/b>when they are back from the break.
