Students were committed to making 3D shapes which was quite a challenge and we now have a cube, a cylinder and a triangular prism each! We hope to make a few more and this will serve as a useful way to remember the new shape names in class.

Students still have activity choice time in language and Maths sessions and I am proud of those showing independence, finishing long tasks or selecting more difficult tasks. They all enjoy helping each other document their work with a photo and putting this onto Seesaw.

I have been very pleased with phonic skills as children extend from single sounds to digraphs and ‘special friends’- two letters making a new sound. They are blending sounds to write words and noticing more sounds in words around the class or in books which is great.

On the last day we enjoyed starting to use 3D shapes to make a 3D community which involves thinking, problem solving and tests our dexterity and fine motor skills!

Have a wonderful holiday, Eid Mubarak!

Week 26 G1C

In this last week of Term 3, students have been reviewing work done, knowledge and skills learnt or reflecting on their goals.
