Dear Parents,<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another lively week across the different year groups, with plenty of practice and reflection.<\/p>\n

Grade 7s<\/em><\/strong> are practising their listening skills with Criterion A<\/strong> as we approach the end of this unit and prepare to move on with a new unit on celebrations.<\/p>\n

Grade 8s<\/em><\/strong> completed reflections on their past Criterion D<\/strong> and Criterion B<\/strong> assessments, taking the time to think about what worked well and what their next steps should be. They also started practising their listening skills through House Tours<\/em> videos. Our game of \u201cT\u00e9l\u00e9phone arabe\u201d<\/strong> proved to be a fun way to end the week and a perfect reminder of how carefully we need to listen!<\/p>\n

Grade 9s<\/em><\/strong> had a fascinating discussion about the idea of an instantaneous translator. A machine that could translate everything perfectly would probably send me into early retirement as a French teacher\u2026 if it ever became truly efficient! Thankfully, language learning is about much more than translation!<\/p>\n

Grade 10s<\/em><\/strong> are deep in preparation for their Individual Oral<\/strong> in French. Students are learning how to describe visual stimuli in a meaningful and structured way, while also making sure they manage their time carefully during the task.<\/p>\n

DP students (Grades 11 and 12)<\/em><\/strong> worked through past papers and reflected on their performance, an excellent way to build confidence and refine strategies for the final exams ahead.<\/p>\n

A week full of listening, thinking, and a few good laughs along the way.<\/p>\n
