Much of this week was dedicated to targeted revision using different strategies and small formative tasks to clarify concepts and prepare effectively.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">We are now gearing up for the <strong>Criterion A<\/strong> (Knowing and Understanding) summative assessment on <strong>Sunday, 1st March,<\/strong> giving students a key chance to show the depth of their understanding.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\"><strong>Formative tasks<\/strong> offer regular feedback and multiple low-pressure opportunities to practise and refine skills, while <strong>summative assessments<\/strong> evaluate overall achievement \u2014 together providing varied ways for students to demonstrate learning and supporting deeper, lasting understanding.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Looking ahead, our next unit will focus on <strong>biochemistry<\/strong>, taking a closer look at key biomolecules (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids) and their roles in living systems.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have completed our unit on the Impact of Waves, with students having finished Criterion D (Impact of Science) and received feedback.
