This week we put on our creative hats and began some descriptive writing by drawing a &#8216;monster&#8217;. In maths, we began classifying 2D and 3D shapes and our building our understnading specific mathematical vocabulary words. Also, reviewing our year long \u2018How We Organise Ourselves\u2019 central idea &#8211; \u2018Many factors cause us to grow as individuals and as a community.\u2019 This is an excellent stage of the year to review what makes a strong community and what we can do in the coming weeks to become closer and more successful. The class participated in lots of team building games to help us reflect on what a successful community needs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>In Seesaw this week\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Monster Paragraphs\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Technical vocabulary for 2D and 3D shapes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Exhibition \u2018lessons learnt\u2019<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Literacy<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Word Review &#8211; adjectives, adverbs, verbs, nouns<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Figurative Writing Review &#8211; similes, metaphors, hyperbole<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sensory Reviews &#8211; smell, touch, noise etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All of the above into a quality paragraph about a monster that each child created<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Following the writing cycle to plan, draft, revise, edit and publish their minster paragraph<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Maths<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shapes pre-assessment<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The key language of shapes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shape riddles<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sorting and classifying shapes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Unit of Inquiry<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Discussions on what makes a great community<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Many games to try out ideas from above &#8211; silent line, toxic river, keep it alive, balloon obstacle course.
