Dear ABIS Families,<\/strong><\/p>\n

As we approach the Holy Month of Ramadan, we would like to share important updates regarding adjustments to our regular schedule.<\/p>\n

School Hours \/ Music & PE Lessons<\/strong>
\nDuring Ramadan, school hours will be from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm<\/strong>, with lesson times remaining either 40 or 60 minutes, as usual. There will be two 20-minute breaks<\/strong> throughout the day, during which non-fasting students may eat their snacks, and all students can take a ‘brain break’ from class.<\/p>\n

This modified schedule is designed to preserve valuable teaching time while acknowledging the importance of balance and well-being for all students.<\/p>\n

Please complete this survey<\/a> to inform us if your child will be fasting and whether they will participate in music lessons. If they are fasting, they will not be permitted to participate in PE lessons actively.<\/p>\n

After School Activities (Sunday, 22nd February \u2013 Wednesday, 18th March)<\/strong>
\nAlthough the regular school day will finish at 1:00 pm<\/strong> (with buses departing at that time), we are pleased to offer a 4-week round of After School Activities (ASAs)<\/strong>. Sign-ups can be completed in the usual way by following this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We will also be offering support for DP classes<\/strong> at this time. Students will sign up directly with the teachers.<\/p>\n

ASAs will run from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm,<\/strong> and students must be collected from school at 2:00 pm<\/strong>. We encourage families to consider their child\u2019s well-being and energy levels, particularly if they are fasting, when deciding on ASA participation.<\/p>\n

We appreciate your support and understanding as we make these adjustments to honor the spirit of Ramadan while continuing to provide enriching opportunities for our students. May this Holy Month be filled with reflection, gratitude, and blessings for the entire ABIS community.<\/p>\n
