This has helped students develop a deeper sense of inclusion and understanding. Next week, we\u2019ll move on to the values families bring, and how family and cultural conventions help shape who we are and our identity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"1005\"><strong data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"653\"><em data-start=\"641\" data-end=\"651\">Grade 8s<\/em><\/strong> analysed their very first Airbnb listing and discovered the vocabulary linked to amenities and equipment. Next week, we\u2019ll take a closer look at the conventions of writing such a listing, simply to understand what makes people want to rent one. In two weeks\u2019 time, they\u2019ll be ready for their first <strong data-start=\"952\" data-end=\"967\">Criterion B<\/strong> reading assessment of the semester.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1276\"><strong data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1021\"><em data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1019\">Grade 9s<\/em><\/strong> completed their <strong data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1053\">Criterion B<\/strong> reading on the Montessori system. This allowed them to compare the IB with another educational approach, while also evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of their own learning, this will help them focus better on their next step. Next week, we wish them a wonderful Oman Week trip.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1504\"><strong data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1293\"><em data-start=\"1280\" data-end=\"1291\">Grade 10s<\/em><\/strong> worked with the pass\u00e9 compos\u00e9 and vocabulary linked to feelings and emotions, using poetry to describe what a migrant might be experiencing. The result will definitely be sensitive and thoughtful.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1506\" data-end=\"1716\"><strong data-start=\"1506\" data-end=\"1524\"><em data-start=\"1508\" data-end=\"1522\">Grade 11\u201312s<\/em><\/strong> have just completed their unit on the environment and are now moving on to <strong data-start=\"1600\" data-end=\"1619\">Human Ingenuity<\/strong>.
