We are incredibly proud to announce that the <b data-path-to-node=\"1\" data-index-in-node=\"128\">Chemistry Internal Assessments (IAs)<\/b> have been successfully submitted! After a dedicated period of reviewing detailed feedback over the winter break, students have finalized their independent research projects which is a major milestone in their DP chemistry journey.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\">With the IA behind us, we have been moving at a rapid pace through the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"71\">Advanced Higher Level (AHL)<\/b> topics. We have already concluded our studies on <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"148\">Entropy and Spontaneity (R1.4)<\/b> and the <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"187\">Reaction Quotient and Equilibrium Law (R2.3)<\/b>. Our current focus is on <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"276\">Acid-Base Chemistry (R3.1)<\/b>, where students are mastering complex calculations involving <span class=\"math-inline\" data-math=\"pK_a\" data-index-in-node=\"364\">pKa<\/span> and <span class=\"math-inline\" data-math=\"pK_b\" data-index-in-node=\"373\">pKb<\/span>, analyzing the nuances of <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"404\">salt hydrolysis<\/b>, and interpreting <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"438\">pH titration curves<\/b>. We are also exploring the critical role of <b data-path-to-node=\"2\" data-index-in-node=\"502\">buffer solutions<\/b> in maintaining chemical stability.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">Next week, we aim to wrap up our review of <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"43\">Lewis acids and bases (R3.4)<\/b>, bridging these concepts with electron pair sharing from Organic Chemistry. This will lead us into our final syllabus section: <b data-path-to-node=\"5\" data-index-in-node=\"199\">Electrochemistry<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">Once the syllabus is complete, we will embark on a <b data-path-to-node=\"6\" data-index-in-node=\"51\">thorough revision program<\/b> to synthesize two years of learning. This phase is essential for building the exam stamina and application skills required for their final IB examinations.
