I am sure they have various plans for activities in which to participate and joy about seeing family and friends. As part of the spirit of lifelong learning, I encourage students to continue critical reading: read some more non-fiction or view documentaries and news programmes, listen to podcasts and radio broadcasts. Ask questions and engage family and friends in discussions about issues that impact our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Grade 7: History Channel and National Geographic Channel on YouTube; memoirs of a person you admire or even dislike;<\/p>\n<p>Grade 8: TedEd Talks, e.g. &#8220;How to understand power&#8221; by Eric Liu; documentaries about topics of interest;<\/p>\n<p>Grade 9: continue reading, viewing, and listening to news, e.g. CNN10 (podcast or YouTube).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students are excited to get a break after an intense first semester.
