We hope you all had a lovely, restful break. The children came back full of excitement as we started our new Unit of Inquiry \u2014 <em data-start=\"297\" data-end=\"357\">How the World Works: Being a Scientist Through Our Senses!<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"361\" data-end=\"611\">This week, we explored our five senses and created a fun <strong data-start=\"418\" data-end=\"444\">science sensory corner<\/strong> in the classroom. The dark tent with flashlights was a big hit! The children loved discovering and talking about what they could see, hear, smell, touch, and taste.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"613\" data-end=\"866\">Next week, we\u2019ll focus on our <strong data-start=\"643\" data-end=\"661\">sense of sight<\/strong> \u2014 exploring <strong data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"707\">light and dark, day and night<\/strong>, and learning how light helps us see. We\u2019ll also begin our <strong data-start=\"767\" data-end=\"774\">\/e\/<\/strong> sound in Jolly Phonics, start exploring <strong data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"828\">2D shapes<\/strong>, and read the story <em data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"863\">Mouse Shapes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"868\" data-end=\"970\">It\u2019s been a wonderful start to our new unit \u2014 we\u2019re so proud of our curious little scientists! \ud83e\uddea\ud83d\udc40\u2728<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KG2 Weekly Update \ud83c\udf1f Welcome back, everyone!
