What a wonderful week we\u2019ve had in Grade 1! We have started a new Unit of Inquiry: <\/span>How the World Works<\/span><\/i>. Over the coming weeks, we will explore how the Earth has many natural resources and is constantly changing. It is fantastic to see the children\u2019s curiosity and enthusiasm as they dive into this topic.<\/span><\/p>\n

In math, the children practiced concepts such as <\/span>before and after<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>greater than and less than<\/span><\/i>, and <\/span>addition<\/span><\/i>. Through games, they are strengthening their foundational skills in a fun way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before the holiday, the children reflected on our previous unit, <\/span>Who We Are<\/span><\/i>. This week, they had time to complete any reflections they hadn\u2019t finished. I would also like to share some of the actions the children have taken so far. These actions show how they apply what they are learning in their daily lives, for example by helping each other, showing initiative, and taking care of our classroom environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

A big thank you to all the parents who participated in this week\u2019s Three-Way Conferences. Discussing your child\u2019s growth together is incredibly valuable, and I truly appreciate your involvement.<\/span><\/p>\n
