I hope you are having a wonderful week. I am writing to share an update on the progress and recent milestones achieved in our music classes.<\/p>\n
In Grade 7<\/strong>, students completed their original compositions<\/strong> for a video game or movie scene. This project allowed them to integrate their knowledge of scales within a creative, real-world context.<\/p>\n Our Grade 8<\/strong> students have completed their 12-bar Blues projects<\/strong>, applying their understanding of complex chord progressions and the practical use of the Blues scale. I am very proud of the thoughtful compositions they submitted.<\/p>\n The Grade 10<\/strong> class has wrapped up their initial exploration of Jazz by finishing their presentations on different Jazz styles<\/strong>. This marked the conclusion of their first major unit, showcasing their research and analytical skills alongside their performance practice.<\/p>\n ASA Band Update<\/strong><\/p>\n This week also marks the end of the ASA session. We would like to extend our thanks to all the students who participated in this activity\u00a0this term.
