I am writing to share an update on the progress and recent milestones achieved in our music classes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">In <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Grade 7<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, students have successfully started drafting their <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">compositions<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> for the &#8220;Music for Video Games&#8221; unit, with many completing their initial musical measures. As they move into this challenging creative phase, I am encouraging all students to maximize their focus during class time to fully benefit from the guided instruction and feedback.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">Our <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Grade 8<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> students have been building on their understanding of the Blues by mastering complex <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">chord progressions<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> and exploring the practical application of the <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Blues scale<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">. This practice is essential as they continue to develop their original compositions in Garageband.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">Finally, the <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">Grade 10<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> class has transitioned smoothly into their next phase of Jazz study. Following their individual performances, students engaged in valuable <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">reflection<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\"> on their work. They have now started rehearsing a <\/span><strong><span class=\"selected\">new Jazz song<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"selected\">, expanding their repertoire and technical skills<\/span><span class=\"selected\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"selected\">Thank you for your continued support.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Parents, I hope you are having a wonderful week.
