A fun way to encourage writing at home is by using <strong data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"423\">Story Starters.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"449\">\ud83d\udc49 <strong data-start=\"430\" data-end=\"447\">How to do it:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"450\" data-end=\"724\">\n<li data-start=\"450\" data-end=\"518\">\n<p data-start=\"452\" data-end=\"518\">Give your child the beginning of a story (one or two sentences).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"573\">\n<p data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"573\">Ask them to continue the story in their own words.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"574\" data-end=\"662\">\n<p data-start=\"576\" data-end=\"662\">Remind them: their story can be silly, funny, or magical \u2014 creativity is encouraged!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"724\">\n<p data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"724\">Afterwards, let your child read their story aloud to you.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"761\">\u2728 <strong data-start=\"728\" data-end=\"759\">Examples of Story Starters:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"762\" data-end=\"950\">\n<li data-start=\"762\" data-end=\"826\">\n<p data-start=\"764\" data-end=\"826\">\u201cOne morning, I woke up and found a spaceship in my garden\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"882\">\n<p data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"882\">\u201cThe dragon knocked on my door and asked for help\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"883\" data-end=\"950\">\n<p data-start=\"885\" data-end=\"950\">\u201cSuddenly, the lights went out, and I heard a noise behind me\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"952\" data-end=\"1171\">\ud83d\udca1 <strong data-start=\"955\" data-end=\"970\">Family Tip:<\/strong> Make this a weekly routine \u2014 try one story starter every weekend. Parents and siblings can write their own versions too, then share together.
