This past week was all about making connections between <\/span>fractions, decimals, and percentages<\/b>. It’s been fantastic to see so many of you jump right in, with some even going above and beyond! Your enthusiasm is infectious. Next week, we’ll dive into the world of <\/span>Lowest Common Multiples (LCM)<\/b> and <\/span>Highest Common Factors (HCF)<\/b>. These concepts are like building blocks for more advanced math, and they’re crucial for simplifying fractions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udca1 Grade 8: Numbers & Notations<\/b><\/h2>\n

You’ve all been tackling some tricky topics this week, from <\/span>rational and irrational numbers<\/b> to <\/span>scientific notation<\/b>. I’m so proud to report that many of you showed 100% accuracy in your understanding! That’s a huge achievement. Now that you’ve got a solid foundation, we’re ready to start building. Next week, get ready to tackle the fundamentals of <\/span>algebraic thinking<\/b>, including <\/span>expansion and factorization<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

We’ve officially wrapped up our unit on <\/span>exponents, rational, and irrational numbers<\/b>. Great job on the formative assessment on Delta Math\u2014your proactive approach to solving problems shows how well you’re grasping these ideas. We’ll kick things up a notch next week by applying these concepts to the real world! We’ll explore <\/span>financial mathematics<\/b>, and you’ll begin working on your Criterion C and D summative tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n
